The Big Ten landed two schools in the Final Four of the 2012 NCAA women’s volleyball tournament, as Michigan takes on No. 3 seed Texas at 7 p.m. ET before top seed and Big Ten champion Penn State faces No. 5 seed Oregon at 9 p.m.
Rodney Williams scored a season-high 19 points, including a 360-degree dunk off a fast break, and Trevor Mbakwe grabbed a career-high 18 rebounds to lead 13th-ranked Minnesota past North Dakota State 70-57 on Tuesday night.

All eyes are on Wisconsin as it continues to search for a replacement for Bret Bielema. Athletic director Barry Alvarez said last week he’d prefer to hire someone with head coaching experience, but some in the industry have suggested that might be because he doesn’t have the time and/or energy to devote to grooming a young coach like he did with Bielema. Just something to consider.
