Iowa is coming off a 4-8 season, the program’s worst since 2000—Kirk Ferentz’s second season in Iowa City. That has some fans antsy. Nebraska sat through three weather delays before claiming the NCAA Lincoln Regional championship Sunday. So, what was a little more water following the historic 10-5 victory over Stanford? While celebrating the program’s first Super Regionals berth – Super Regionals were adopted in 2005 – the Huskers soaked coach Rhonda Revelle with a bucket of water.

The Sun Belt Conference released its new logo Sunday afternoon. You might be asking yourself, “OK, what does that have to do with the Big Ten?” Nothing, really, other than it looks like the conference may have used the Big Ten basketball tourney logo for inspiration. Everybody loves pinwheels!

The Michigan and Nebraska softball teams both advanced to next weekend’s Super Regionals with impressive wins over Pac-12 foes Sunday. The Wolverines topped Cal, 3-1, while the Huskers took down Stanford, 10-5. Both teams dominated this weekend’s competition, sweeping their respective regional, held at their home fields.
