Fox Sports Names Francois McGillicuddy President of Big Ten Network

FOX Sports and the Big Ten Conference today announces it has named veteran media executive Francois McGillicuddy to the position of President, Big Ten Network (BTN). The announcement was made today by Eric Shanks, Chief Executive Officer & Executive Producer, FOX Sports and Jim Delany, Commissioner, Big Ten Conference. McGillicuddy will assume his new role in early 2019 and take over the day-to-day operations for BTN currently held by Mark Silverman, who was elevated in January 2018 to the position of President, National Networks, FOX Sports. BTN Announces Coverage of 2018 Big Ten Fall Championships

BTN will provide extensive coverage of the 2018 Big Ten fall championships and tournaments, including live broadcasts and streams of the Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Soccer Tournaments, the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament and the Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships. The Big Ten Cross Country Championships kick off BTN’s coverage this Sunday, Oct. 28. BTN Announces Men’s and Women’s Hoops Talent for 2018-19 Season

The 2018-19 Big Ten basketball season tips off in less than three weeks and BTN today announced on-air talent for over 200 men’s and women’s games, as well as its nightly studio shows. New this year to the network will be play-by-play announcer Dave O’Brien, who joins Kevin Kugler, Brian Anderson, Brandon Gaudin, and Cory Provus in calling games. First 6 BTN Tailgate Sites Announced

As football season kicks into high gear, the first six sites for BTN Tailgate, the network’s travelling Saturday studio show, have now been confirmed. BTN Tailgate originates from a different Big Ten campus each week during conference play, and begins at 10 a.m. ET leading into the first games of the day at noon ET. BTN Announces 2018-19 Big Ten Men and Women’s Basketball Television Schedule

In conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, BTN today announced its complete television schedule for the 2018-19 men’s and women’s basketball seasons. BTN will air at least 132 men’s basketball games, including 77 conference games and 10 Big Ten Tournament games. The network will also broadcast at least 68 women’s basketball games, featuring four ACC-Big Ten Challenge matchups alongside 12 conference tournament games, including both semifinals. The men’s schedule begins with non-conference action on Nov. 6 as the Indiana Hoosiers and heralded freshman Romeo Langford host Chicago State, and continues with the inaugural U.S. Bank Stadium Basketball Classic on Nov.

The slate features 20 games, including a conference match-up between Ohio State and Rutgers, a week two showdown with the ACC as Indiana hosts Virginia and a week three primetime clash when Missouri visits Purdue.
