Video: See how Spartans celebrated win over Huskers

Michigan State had never beaten Nebraska entering Saturday afternoon’s game. So, as one can imagine, the locker room was a happy place after the Spartans carded a 41-28 victory and claimed a share of the Legends Division title. There was dancing – a lot of it. Defensive line coach Ron Burton led the way, and then several players took their turn. Check out the scene below. VIDEO: Go right to Burton’s dancing. Clearly, it’s good to be Michigan State right now. The Spartans can win the Legends Division outright with a win over Northwestern on Saturday, which would mark their

Ohio State to wear all-white 'Rivalry' uniform at Michigan

Ohio State and Nike like to break out new uniforms when the Buckeyes play rival Michigan. This year is no different. According to @11W, an Ohio State blog, the Buckeyes are expected to wear an all-white Nike “Rivalry” uniform in the latest installment of “The Game” on Nov. 30 in Ann Arbor. Ohio State has worn a home “Rivalry” uniform twice this season, vs. Wisconsin and Penn State. Confirmed: Ohio State will wear all-white rivalry uniforms against Michigan. http://t.co/Iw6vDLSEWD pic.twitter.com/7dVltNr4SZ — Eleven Warriors (@11W) November 18, 2013 Ohio State officials have yet to confirm the uniform, however the Buckeyes wore

'Harry' and 'Lloyd' photobomb OSU's Aaron Craft

Halloween may be in the rear-view mirror, but that doesn’t mean sports fans can’t dress up and enjoy themselves at a game. A couple Marquette fans, in fact, attended Saturday’s game vs. Ohio State dressed as Harry and Lloyd from Dumb and Dumber. Ohio State assistant Jeff Boals found a great shot of the fans photobombing Aaron Craft. Harry and Lloyd with the photo bomb at the game yesterday…. pic.twitter.com/bIeCGZMity — Jeff Boals (@JeffBoals) November 17, 2013 Great stuff. But it was Craft and Ohio State who got the last laugh in a 52-35 win. Yes, that was the final

Gallery: Check out Northwestern's patriotic uniform

Northwestern turned many heads when it released its new Under Armour patriotic alternate uniform a couple weeks ago. The Wildcats even had to apologize for a misconception regarding the design. Regardless of how one feels about the American flag being used as a decoration, the Wildcats and the Wounded Warrior Project signed off on the uniform, which will be auctioned off after the game. Clothes Call: Illini Week 12 lids to honor military

Illinois will wear a new helmet that honors the military Saturday vs. No. 3 Ohio State. The helmet looks a lot like the Illini’s primary lid, only the logo features the state of Illinois instead of the usual “I.” Even better, there are 10 stars, in the shape of an “I,” inside the state logo to honor the 10 former Illinois player who have died in combat. [ MORE: Northwestern to wear new patriotic uniform vs. Michigan ] How creative/awesome is that? Very cool. See the helmet below. #Illini wearing special helmet logos to honor military tomorrow. 10 stars represent

Despite what Spartans say, this win meant something

There will be a new No. 1 next week, and assuming Michigan State can avoid an upset vs. Columbia on Friday night, it will be the Spartans atop the polls. But Michigan State didn’t want to hear about that following its thrilling 78-74 victory over No. 1 Kentucky on Tuesday night at the United Center. [ MORE: 5 great sights from No. 2 Michigan State-No. 1 Kentucky ] “This game didn’t mean anything,” Gary Harris said. “We didn’t win a Big Ten championship, we didn’t win a national championship.” “Yeah, we want to be No. 1 at the end of

Ten Big Ten stars listed on Wooden preseason top 50

The Big Ten placed a nation’s best 10 players on the John R. Wooden Award preseason top 50 list, released Tuesday. Michigan State led the way with three players (Keith Appling, Gary Harris and Adreian Payne), while Michigan (Mitch McGary and Glenn Robinson III) and Ohio State (Aaron Craft and LaQuinton Ross) also made the list. A freshman made the cut, too. See all the representatives in this post. Get ready for No. 1 Kentucky vs No. 2 Michigan State

No. 1 vs. No. 2 doesn’t happen often. In fact, the last time the top two teams in the AP Poll met on the men’s hardwood, the year was 2008. But, for the first time since No. 2 Tennessee beat No. 1 Memphis on Feb. 24, 2008, we’ll have No. 1 vs. No. 2. It all happens Tuesday night, when No. 2 Michigan State plays No. 1 Kentucky at the United Center. What’s more, Kentucky-Michigan State marks the earliest 1-2 matchup in a season. The previous one featured a Big Ten team, as well, as No. 1 Indiana beat No.

Poll: What was your Week 11 top play?

Week 11 in the Big Ten featured plenty of highlight-reel plays. My two favorite: Ameer Abdullah’s dive into the end zone for the game-winning score at Michigan and Shane Wynn’s incredible diving catch near the sideline vs. Illinois. Didn’t see the plays? Watch them in this post. Also, vote for the top play. Here’s Abdullah making a clutch play for the second consecutive week. In Week 10, let us not forget, Abdullah picked up the all-important 4th-down (Watch it!) that set up the last-second Hail Mary. This time around, he makes a fantastic play to put Nebraska ahead for good.

Ameer Abdullah's game-winning TD, in video & photos

It was never any secret that Ameer Abdullah was a stud. The last two weeks, though, the Nebraska star has added “clutch” to his arsenal. Last week, the memorable game-winning Hail Mary wouldn’t have been possible without his incredible fourth-down effort to keep the drive alive. On Saturday at Michigan, he scored the game-winning touchdown to keep Nebraska in control of its destiny in the Legends Division.
