Kenny Bell never lost that bet or got rid of his hairdo

Don’t trust everything you see on Twitter. While the following, most likely, isn’t news to Nebraska fans, Kenny Bell never lost that bet or shaved his trademark hairdo. When asked about the haircut Monday at Big Ten media days in Chicago, Bell had a great laugh. “Come on, man, you fell for that, too?!” he said. Guilty. But so many others fell for his tweet, which got 374 retweets and 460 favorites, as well (here, here and here). “I threw it out there (on Twitter) to see what would happen,” Bell said. What happened is everyone thought the Big Ten

Big Ten writers' 2014 preseason All-Big Ten Team

With Big Ten media days Monday and Tuesday in Chicago, BTN.com asked one writer from every school to help compose our 2014 preseason All-Big Ten Team. Each writer picked a first-team offense and defense, plus superlative winners, and the players who amassed the most overall votes, by position, made the team. See the team and how each writer voted in this post. Photos: See Michigan State's new locker room

Fresh off one of the greatest seasons in program history, the Michigan State football team will defend its Big Ten championship in some impressive new digs. Tuesday, Mark Dantonio tweeted pictures of the team’s new locker room and plenty of new decorations around the facility. See the pictures in this post.

Photos: Wildcats unveil new court design

Northwestern released the design for its new court at Welsh-Ryan Arena on Wednesday morning. The new floor is a much more classic look than the one the Wildcats played on the last two seasons. The biggest changes – other than the elimination of the crayola-like purple shade that didn’t match the midcourt logo – are the darker shade of wood, the Wildcat-less “N” midcourt logo and the addition of the Northwestern Stripe under both baskets. The latter is an excellent touch – just as it was on the school’s uniforms. Another small change: The “B1G” logo is moving from outside

Khaseem Greene changes number to honor Eric LeGrand

Rutgers product and current Chicago Bears linebacker Khaseem Greene is switching his number to 52 to honor former teammate and friend Eric LeGrand. Greene, in his second pro season, wore No. 59 as a rookie in 2013, but only because veteran Blake Costanzo wore No. 52. Now, the former Scarlet Knight gets to honor LeGrand, who was paralyzed in a 2010 game. Penn State: Helmet that went viral is 'office decoration'

Numbers on the sides of Penn State’s iconic helmets are hardly an unfamiliar sight; after all, the team sported the design until the late 1970s and did it again for a game in 2012 to honor injured star linebacker Mike Mauti. [ MORE: Like uniform designs?
