CHICAGO – BTN/BTN2Go will kick off the 2013 Big Ten football season with five hours of live televised coverage of Big Ten Football Media Days on Wednesday and a two-hour Kickoff Luncheon Special on Friday.
CHICAGO – BTN today revealed its game broadcast teams and studio talent for the 2013 football season. The network’s football schedule will feature 47 games, extensive pre-game, halftime and post-game coverage on Saturdays and football-themed studio shows every weeknight.
The BTN Big 10K and 5K run/walk just got super-sized. More than 12,000 runners have already signed up for the second-annual event, more than double the amount of runners who participated last year. The race is set for Saturday, July 27, and will be televised on BTN at 8 p.m. ET that night.
BTN will recognize the best of Big Ten sports in 2012-2013 with the sixth annual BTN Awards Show at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Mike Hall will host the half-hour show. The announcement of two prestigious Big Ten Conference awards for the best female student-athlete and the best male student-athlete will highlight the evening’s festivities. The show also will feature interviews with selected award winners, both coaches and players.
CHICAGO – For the fifth straight year, BTN will televise live every game of the Big Ten Baseball Tournament. Coverage begins Wednesday and continues until Saturday, with a game on Sunday if necessary.

BTN will televise 12 primetime games during the 2013 college football season, the most in network history. Five games feature a pre-season top-25 Big Ten team, while three of the 12 matchups feature games versus teams from the SEC, ACC and Pac-12 conferences. Eight Big Ten schools in all will be featured in primetime.

As BTN prepares to air the first of four games in the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament at noon ET today, the network is celebrating another ratings record.
BTN will kick off the start of the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament, back in Chicago for the first time since 2007, by announcing registration opens today for the second-annual BTN Big 10K and 5K on July 27, 2013 in downtown Chicago. The episode will air at 11 p.m. CT Wednesday.

Saturday afternoon’s Iowa-Nebraska game, originally scheduled for Thursday but postponed due to an impending winter storm, will air at 2 p.m. ET on BTN2Go, the Big Ten Conference announced Wednesday.
BTN will offer its most extensive baseball and softball coverage ever, with over 220 events airing on BTN, BTN2Go and BTN.com for the 2013 season. BTN will air at least 84 conference matchups, including the entire Big Ten Baseball Tournament, which will take place at Target Field in Minneapolis.
For the sixth consecutive year, BTN will televise seven winter Big Ten Championships, including men’s and women’s swimming and diving, wrestling, men’s and women’s indoor track and field and men’s and women’s gymnastics. Every event will be produced in high definition.
January 2013 marked the Big Ten Network’s highest-rated month ever in primetime, according to Nielsen metered market data, fueled by high-quality men’s basketball matchups and strong performance of The Journey, which also set new ratings records. BTN’s average primetime men’s conference basketball rating was 0.87 in the network’s eight metered markets*. Among all national sports networks for the month, BTN trailed only ESPN in its eight metered markets.
