The age-old question is being asked again: Should college football have two signing periods? One in, say, July or August, and the other in February. I’d love for there to be two signing periods. Let Iowa State coach Paul Rhoads tell you why he doesn’t think two signing periods will happen.

A new class of future Big Ten football stars will sign National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, and BTN will air a live, 90-minute “Football Signing Day Special” at 4:30 PM ET that day to reveal which student-athletes will attend Big Ten universities.

If you are tired of the current lineup of Big Ten bowl games, fear not as change may be coming, according to Commissioner Jim Delany. The Big Ten will remain tethered to the Rose Bowl, Capital One and Outback Bowls. But, changes could ensue beyond that trio of games.

Are you ready for some spring football? Hey, it’s not the real thing with packed stadiums, marching bands, tailgaters and cheerleaders all pouring their hearts into a regular season game. But, it’s the next best thing to cure your football fix. Northwestern is the first to start, opening spring drills on Feb. 27. Minnesota is the last to open, starting on March 26.
