Indiana earns No. 1 seed in Big Ten baseball tourney

Fresh off its first outright Big Ten title since 1932, Indiana will be the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten baseball tournament Wednesday-Saturday (Sunday, if necessary) at Target Field.

The Hoosiers, along with Ohio State, earned a first-round bye in the six-team, double-elimination tourney that opens at 1:05 p.m. ET Wednesday. All 10 games will air live on BTN/BTN2Go.

Michigan advances to Super Regionals; Nebraska in action

Sara Dreisenga stymied Cal for the second consecutive day, and the Wolverines topped the Golden Bears, 3-1, Sunday to advance to the Super Regionals. Dreisenga, who threw shutouts in the regional’s first two games, surrendered a third-inning solo home run and not much more en route to the complete game victory.

Ohio State sets record on way to Big Ten rowing title

Ohio State won its fourth Big Ten title at the 2013 Big Ten Rowing Championships at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. The Buckeyes recorded 160 points, a new championships record, on the strength of five first-place finishes. Ohio State tallied wins in the first varsity eight, second varsity eight, first varsity four, third varsity four and first novice eight. Michigan followed in second with 135 points and Wisconsin finished third with 134 points.

NU downs PSU, 15-7, advances to NCAA semis
