This time of year, it’s always fun to look at the rosters and try to pick out the conference’s breakout stars. A year ago, if you had your eye on, say, Venric Mark, Allen Robinson, Jake Ryan or Ryan Shazier, you hit it out of the park.

Gary Andersen continues to win over Wisconsin fans. Today, the first-year football coach was grilling and hand delivering butter burgers at a local Culver’s. It was all part of Wisconsin’s “Day of Giving,” with all proceeds going to Badger Honor Flight, which according to @BadgerFootball, pays to fly vets to memorials in Washington D.C.

Tom Crean and Indiana spent a great deal of last year ranked No. 1 in the nation. As we all know, though, the Hoosiers lost a ton of talent, including Jordan Hulls, Victor Oladipo, Christian Watford and Cody Zeller. They return Yogi Ferrell and Will Sheehey and welcome a decorated incoming class to the fold, so the question needs to be asked: Should Indiana be ranked in the preseason polls?

Jack Hoffman is a cancer patient who stole the hearts of America and the show at the Nebraska spring game, taking a handoff and racing 69 yards for a touchdown. Highlights of the run went viral, as little Jack’s story swept the nation.

The Big Ten announced Tuesday its 2013 All-Big Ten teams and individual award winners. Big Ten champion Indiana was well represented, as it took home Pitcher of the Year (Aaron Slegers) and Coach of the Year (Tracy Smith). Illinois’ Justin Parr was named Player of the Year and Kevin Duchene earned Freshman of the Year honors. See the teams in this post.
