The Michigan and Nebraska softball teams both advanced to next weekend’s Super Regionals with impressive wins over Pac-12 foes Sunday.
The Wolverines topped Cal, 3-1, while the Huskers took down Stanford, 10-5. Both teams dominated this weekend’s competition, sweeping their respective regional, held at their home fields.

Nebraska sat through three weather delays before claiming the NCAA Lincoln Regional championship Sunday. So, what was a little more water following the historic 10-5 victory over Stanford? While celebrating the program’s first Super Regionals berth – Super Regionals were adopted in 2005 – the Huskers soaked coach Rhonda Revelle with a bucket of water.

The Sun Belt Conference released its new logo Sunday afternoon. You might be asking yourself, “OK, what does that have to do with the Big Ten?” Nothing, really, other than it looks like the conference may have used the Big Ten basketball tourney logo for inspiration. Everybody loves pinwheels!

Nebraska is on pace to never miss the Big Ten baseball tournament. OK, to be fair, it’s a modest 2-for-2 when it comes to making the conference’s annual six-team, double elimination tourney. Nonetheless, it’s an impressive feat, especially when one considers all the factors a team faces when it changes conferences. All-Big Ten honoree Michael Pritchard is a big reason for Nebraska’s early Big Ten success, and we featured him in this video.

Ohio State won its fourth Big Ten title at the 2013 Big Ten Rowing Championships at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis. The Buckeyes recorded 160 points, a new championships record, on the strength of five first-place finishes. Ohio State tallied wins in the first varsity eight, second varsity eight, first varsity four, third varsity four and first novice eight. Michigan followed in second with 135 points and Wisconsin finished third with 134 points.
