Melvin takes off for Liberia, a place he has not been since he was 8 years old. He lands and makes the two-hour drive into the country to visit his mother on her farm. Melvin is finally able to see her and hug her for the first time in 14 years; they spend the next 11 days together. Melvin also visits a few schools and does a radio show to talk about his journey. Finally, his trip is nearing its end and he realizes he has to say goodbye to his mother – again.
