Coach Paul Chryst said Monday that Hornibrook will start on Saturday at Northwestern. Hornibrook took over as starter in the Week 4 win at Michigan State.

But Chryst gave Houston a couple series two weeks ago against Iowa. Houston got a few more drives in last week's win over Nebraska , including the series in overtime that led to Dare Ogunbowale's 11-yard touchdown run for Wisconsin (6-2, 3-2 Big Ten).

Hornibrook has played relatively well for a redshirt freshman, though he has six interceptions in five starts. The left-handed thrower has shown poise in the pocket.

Houston offers a change of pace with more mobility. Chryst has said he'll need both quarterbacks moving forward.

Also Monday, the Big Ten named Ryan Connelly its co-Defensive Player of the Week, along with Indiana's Marcus Oliver.

Connelly had 11 tackles, including 2 1/2 for losses, against the Cornhuskers. He started for leading tackler Jack Cichy, who is out for the year with a torn pectoral muscle.

The Badgers face more questions on defense with starting outside linebacker T.J. Watt listed as questionable with a right shoulder injury. He got hurt against Nebraska but did return to the game.

Nose tackle Olive Sagapolu has already been ruled out for a third straight game with a right arm injury.
