Seven weeks down, and every Big Ten football team has reached at least the midpoint of its 2016 schedule.

Unofficially halfway home, BTN.com senior writer Tom Dienhart decided to share his midseason Big Ten superlative winners.

We asked Dienhart for his offense, defense, freshman and coach award winners, and he obliged.

Dienhart's picks?

Those would be Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett (Offensive Player of the Year), Michigan do-it-all star Jabrill Peppers (Defensive Player of the Year), Ohio State RB Mike Weber (Freshman of the Year) and Nebraska's Mike Riley (Coach of the Year).

Get Dienhart's reasoning for each selection in the videos in this post.
