Big Ten Football: 5 things to know before Indiana vs. Ball State

Indiana takes on Ball State at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.

I?ve got five things to know before the Hoosiers kick off Week 2 in the Big Ten.

1. This is the eighth meeting in this series. The Hoosiers lead the all-time series 4-3. However, it?s been all Ball State of late, with the Cardinals winning each of the last three meetings.

2. Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson is 0-2 all-time against Ball State, losing in his first and second year.

3. Saturday will be Indiana?s home opener. The Hoosiers have won 13 of their last 14 and 30 of their last 34 home openers. Indiana is 4-1 all-time under Kevin Wilson in home openers.

4. Indiana will also be looking to start 2-0 in consecutive seasons for the first time since a stretch of seven consecutive seasons from 2004 to 2010.

5. Indiana enters this game having won eight of its last nine regular season non-conference games, including seven straight.
