Facebook Live Q&A with BTN Big 10K Grand Marshal Kyle Schwarber
Former Indiana and Chicago Cubs baseball star Kyle Schwarber will serve as the Grand Marshal in this year’s BTN Big 10K race on Aug. 6, 2015.
Schwarber joined BTN.com’s Sean Merriman today for a Facebook Live Q&A in the ABC TV studios in downtown Chicago.

The former Hoosier slugger spoke about his love for his school, his current rehab and going up against Braxton Miller during his high school football days.
He also touched on what an honor it is to represent Indiana and the Big Ten in this year’s race.
“For me to get this honor and have all these people come out to represent the Big Ten and their Big Ten schools, and to have all the proceeds go towards the Special Olympics of Chicago, it’s gonna be great,” Schwarber said. “I can’t wait for this event.”
Runners of all ages can still register for the fifth annual Big Ten 10K and 5K runs, which annually draws more than 10,000 individuals from across the world, by visiting btnbig10k.com.
The race will be located in Grant Park as the 10K and 5K courses wind through the city, giving runners an opportunity to run on the streets of Chicago. A football-themed tailgate party will greet runners after the race, featuring music, water slides, entertainment and complimentary food and drinks, including Goose Island beer and Amylu Sausage. Big Ten mascots and cheerleaders, as well as Big Ten Network personalities, will join in the football fun at events like a 40-yard-dash and field-goal kicking.
