The Wolverines, one of eight participants in the 2016 event in Oklahoma City, will make their third WCWS appearance in the last four seasons.

After winning the Ann Arbor Regional last weekend, Michigan swept the NCAA Super Regional best-of-three series. All five of Michigan?s super regional titles (2005, ?09, ?13, ?15, ?16) have come in Ann Arbor. Michigan is now 14-14 all-time in Super Regionals.

The Wolverines will face 10th-seeded LSU in a double-elimination series, followed by a best-of-three series against the winner of the Alabama-Oklahoma series should they advance.

In all, current Big Ten programs have combined to make 29 appearances in the Women?s College World Series.
