There are good plays. There are great plays. And then there is the kind of play Minnesota centerfielder Dan Motl made in Wednesday's Big Ten Baseball Tournament opener against Iowa.

Leading 5-0 in the top of the third inning, Iowa's Eric Schenck-Joblinske drove a ball to deep center. But Motl ran back, reached out and made an incredible diving catch.

Iowa went on to upset No. 1-seeded Minnesota, 8-2, but this was undoubtedly the play of the game, and possibly the play of the year in the Big Ten.

Check out the catch at the top of this post.

Congrats, Mr. Motl! You have officially earned the title of #BTNStandout.
