Tim Miles had never spoken at a senior night.

Until now.

That's how special Nebraska's Shavon Shields and Benny Parker are to the gregarious head coach.

"Benny and Shavon are guys that bought in on a dream and led us to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 16 years in 2014," Miles told the crowd during the team's senior night festivities Tuesday night. "They have built a foundation that will be lasting for a long time and have future success."

Shields goes down as one of the Huskers' all-time greats, and Parker made his mark as a quick, relentless defender. Both got in done off the court, too.

"These two men are great people who everybody would want their sons to grow up like," Miles said.
