Look around the Big Ten, and one would struggle to find a more improved player than Matt Costello.

The Michigan State senior forward nearly is averaging a double-double (9.8 points & 8.3 rebounds) — he has four in Big Ten play and six on the season, if you were curious. No doubt, Costello is enjoying the new role and all of his success.

A couple weeks ago, if you remember, Costello bear-hugged and twirled Tom Izzo after he was taken out of the game in the final seconds of a big victory vs. Maryland. Saturday, the Spartans' double-double machine came up with a steal-and-dunk sequence that pretty much put the 89-73 rivalry win at Michigan on ice.

Costello knew it was a big play. Just look at him smile into the camera under the basket before making his way back down the court.

Costello had another big dunk earlier in the game, too.
