The Big Ten office released the 2015-16 season's first men's basketball award winners on Monday. See all of the first honorees below.

Co-Players of the Week: Joey King, Minnesota, F, Sr., 6-9, Eagan, Minn. - Eastview

  • Averaged 21.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in a pair of wins over UMKC and Louisiana-Monroe
  • Shot 60.0 percent (12-of-20) from the field, 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from three-point range and 91.7 percent (11-of-12) from the free throw line
  • Against UMKC, scored a career-high 22 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including six three-pointers, and pulled down four rebounds
  • Scored 20 points and corralled eight rebounds versus Louisiana-Monroe
  • Earns his first career Big Ten Player of the Week honor
  • Last Minnesota Player of the Week: Maurice Walker (Dec. 15, 2014)

Alex Olah, Northwestern, C, Sr., 7-0, Timisoara, Romania - Traders Point Christian Academy (Ind.)

  • Recorded a double-double with a game-high 21 points and 12 rebounds in the Wildcats? season-opening win over Massachusetts-Lowell
  • Converted 7-of-11 field goals (.636) and was 7-of-8 (.875) from the free throw line to go along with two blocks
  • Recorded the third 20-point, 10-rebound performance of his career
  • Earns his first career Big Ten Player of the Week honor
  • Last Northwestern Player of the Week: Drew Crawford (Feb. 3, 2014)

Freshman of the Week: Caleb Swanigan, Purdue, F, 6-9, Fort Wayne, Ind. - Homestead

  • Recorded double-doubles in his first two collegiate games, leading the Boilermakers to wins over North Carolina A&T and Vermont
  • On the weekend, averaged 12.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 46.7 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent on three-pointers
  • Scored 11 points, including a 6-of-6 performance from the free throw line, and pulled down 11 rebounds to go along with two assists against North Carolina A&T
  • Scored 14 points on five field goals, corralled 13 rebounds and handed out a pair of assists versus Vermont
  • Earns his first Freshman of the Week honor
