Sporting News columnist and BTN contributor Mike DeCourcy released his preseason All America Team on Monday, and three Big Ten standouts received recognition.

Wisconsin forward Nigel Hayes earned top billing, making DeCourcy's first team, along with North Carolina's Marcus Paige, Iowa State's Georges Niang, Virginia's Brodgon and Wichita State's Ron Baker.

The Big Ten's other representatives were star point guards, with Indiana's Yogi Ferrell and Maryland's Melo Trimble named to the second and third teams, respectively.

All three of these players are worthy of inclusion, of course, however it seems Trimble is a little undervalued. We're talking about the point guard and the best player on the overwhelming preseason No. 1 team, after all.

See what DeCourcy says about the Big Ten players.

As for Big Ten snubs, guys such as Michigan's Caris LeVert, Michigan State's Denzel Valentine and Purdue's A.J. Hammons immediately come to mind.
