The way Maryland's William Likely was returning punts in Saturday afternoon's opener vs. Richmond, it was only a matter of time before he returned one for a score.

Likely did just that on a 67-yard return for a score in the fourth quarter, part of a historic day that included a Big Ten-record 233 punt return yards.

Yes, that's 233 punt return yards, which beat Iowa legend Nile Kinnick's previous record. And, for good measure, the star cornerback and returner brought back two kicks for 63 yards.

Even better, the record day came in an easy win, as Likely's Terrapins rolled Richmond, 50-21, in their season opener.
