This is a fun category, to be sure, because the Big Ten is blessed with a bevy of players who can drop jaws and be regulars on the highlight reels.

Who is your leading candidate for Big Ten West most exciting player?

For what it's worth, you can see BTN.com senior writer Tom Dienhart, BTN.com editor Sean Merriman and BTN.com senior editor Brent Yarina's preseason selections below.

Tom Dienhart: Corey Clement, RB, Wisconsin. Clement looks like the next big thing at Wisconsin. He showed some of his moves last year while backing up Melvin Gordon, almost running for 1,000 yards. Imagine what he?ll do as a starter. He?ll have some jaw-dropping runs this fall, too. Set your DVR.

Sean Merriman: Jordan Westerkamp, WR, Nebraska. What?s more exciting than making acrobatic, behind-the-back catches and game-winning Hail Mary grabs? Nothing! This guy is a human-highlight film out on the gridiron and a joy to watch on Saturdays. I can?t wait to see what he has in store for us this season!

Brent Yarina: V'Angelo Bentley, CB, Illinois. I would have gone with Nebraska's De'Mornay Pierson-El, arguably the Big Ten's most exciting player, but he will miss six to eight weeks with a broken foot. The do-it-all Illinois star, the only player in program history to score on a kick, punt, interception and fumble return, is a fantastic backup plan.
