Carli Lloyd, a Rutgers women's soccer player from 2001 to 2004, scored the fastest three goals in Women's World Cup history as the U.S. routed Japan 5-2 for the championship in Vancouver on Sunday.

Lloyd scored the rare hat trick in just 16 minutes.

During her four years at Rutgers, Lloyd became the program's all-time leader in points (117) and goals (50). She was also a three-time All-American and a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy. Read more about here here.
