No one can accuse Big Ten football teams of scheduling cupcake after cupcake this September.

The Big Ten will be involved in several important early season matchups. In fact, Athlon Sports put six games involving Big Ten teams on its list of the 10 most intriguing September non-conference matchups.

Yes, that's six of the 10 games on the list.

Here are the ones that made the cut:

Sept. 3
Michigan at Utah
TCU at Minnesota

Sept. 5
BYU at Nebraska
Wisconsin vs. Alabama (Arlington)

Sept. 7
Ohio State at Virginia Tech

Sept. 12
Oregon at Michigan State

All of these games are intriguing, for one reason or another, and are worthy of inclusion on such a list.

Which will be the best? It'll be tough to top Oregon at Michigan State, a rematch of a game last year that will once again have playoff implications.

Speaking of rematches and playoff implications, TCU at Minnesota and Ohio State at Virginia Tech will be very big. Both the Gophers and the Buckeyes will be looking to avenge disappointing losses a season ago.

The other three Big Ten games on the list feature a coach making his debut, and vs. talented teams, as Jim Harbaugh will travel to Utah, Mike Riley will host BYU and Paul Chryst will take on perennial power Alabama.
