Many talking heads have raved about the rock star coaches who reside in the Big Ten East, and for good reason.

The talk went to another level when Michigan hired Jim Harbaugh, giving the division another big-time coach to go along with Michigan State's Mark Dantonio, Penn State's James Franklin and Ohio State's Urban Meyer.

Well, to little surprise, the four coaches find themselves in the top four of SportingNews.com's ranking of Big Ten coaches.

Meyer, who led Ohio State to the 2014 national championship, comes in at No. 1, followed by Dantonio, Harbaugh and Franklin.

"He's a machine, everyone," SN's Matt Hayes writes of Meyer, "and the only thing that can stop him is the same thing that stopped him at Florida: himself."

It's tough to argue with the top of this list; in fact, just about any Big Ten coach ranking figures to have these four, in some order, in the top four spots.

No. 5? That would be Minnesota's Jerry Kill, the 2014 Big Ten Coach of the Year who continues to improve the Gophers.

See the top 10 of SN's ranking:
1. Urban Meyer
2. Mark Dantonio
3. Jim Harbaugh
