As they say, Jake Schleppenbach had himself a day Tuesday night.

The Nebraska second baseman hit a two-run double in a 10-4 win over Kansas State, which is nice, but it was his highlight play in the field that turned the most heads.

It all happened with two outs in the fourth inning, and with a runner on first, when Schleppenbach ranged to his right and dove to stop a would-be hit that looked ticketed for right-center after taking a high hop.

Schleppenbach stretched out to corral the ball, quickly got to his feet and threw it to first baseman Scott Schreiber, who made a nice play on the one-hop throw.

Inning over.
