SportingNews.com's Matt Hayes published his top 50 college football players for 2015 on Wednesday, and 10 Big Ten players made the cut.

Most noteworthy: Seven of the 10 are Ohio State Buckeyes, including No. 2 (Cardale Jones), No. 3 (J.T. Barrett), No. 5 (Ezekiel Elliott) and No. 7 (Joey Bosa).

The only non-Ohio State players in the top 5 are No. 1 Trevone Boykin (TCU) and No. 4 Nick Chubb (Georgia).

Michigan State defensive end Shilique Calhoun is the Big Ten's first non-Buckeyes player on the list, at No. 13. His quarterback, Connor Cook, is next on the list, at No. 23.

It's interesting to see Jones and Barrett at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, but two-time Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year Braxton Miller, the other option under center for Ohio State, nowhere to be found.

Another interesting tidbit: All 10 players reside in the Big Ten East, which is expected to be the superior division.

Got to think someone from the Big Ten West will be one of the conference's premier players. Guys like Wisconsin RB Corey Clement, Northwestern RB Justin Jackson and Minnesota DB Briean Boddy-Calhoun, among others, come to mind.
