Big Ten wrestling roundup: No. 1 Iowa clinches share of Big Ten title

It was a busy day of Big Ten wrestling Sunday, highlighted by No. 1 Iowa carding an 18-12 victory at four-time reigning NCAA champion and No. 5 Penn State to clinch at least a share of the Big Ten crown. (Watch replay on BTN2Go).

The Hawkeyes claimed six bouts against the Nittany Lions, with wins from Thomas Gilman (125), Josh Dziewa (141), Brandon Sorensen (149), Mike Kelly (157), Sam Brooks (184) and Bobby Telford (HWT).

In other action, Nebraska downed Michigan State to seal a weekend sweep in Michigan, No. 3 Minnesota dropped Maryland to snap a two-match losing streak, No. 16 Michigan topped No. 22 Purdue, No. 14 Illinois edged No. 18 Wisconsin, and No. 21 Rutgers edged No. 25 Northwestern.

In all, 10 ranked teams were in action, eight of which battled one another.
