We had a pair of games go down to the wire on the Big Ten men's hardwood Wednesday night.

Purdue edged No. 20 Ohio State, 60-58, for its fourth straight win in our first game, and No. 16 Maryland held on to knock off upset-minded Penn State, 64-58, in a back-and-forth nightcap.

Dez Wells scored 23 points, Jon Graham scored 12 of his career-high 16 after halftime and No. 17 Maryland edged Penn State 64-58 Wednesday night to avert its first losing streak of the season.
