Seventh-ranked Ohio State won six of 10 matches, including momentum-swinging wins at 184 and 197 pounds, to knock off third-ranked and defending national champion Penn State on Sunday in front of 6,109 fans at St. John Arena. With the win, Ohio State's first over Penn State since 2010, the Buckeyes improve to 5-3 and 1-1 in the Big Ten. Penn State is 6-1, 2-1.

The victory over Penn State marks the highest-ranked opponent Ohio State has knocked off since a 21-9 victory over second-ranked Iowa on Jan. 20, 2012.

The Buckeyes return to action on Friday, Jan. 16 when they head to East Lansing, Mich. for a dual match against the Spartans. Next Sunday, Ohio State will be in Ann Arbor, Mich. to take on 15th-ranked Michigan.

ILLINOIS 36, INDIANA 3: The fifth-ranked Illinois wrestling team had its first Big Ten road test of the season on Sunday afternoon. The Orange and Blue took on Indiana and dominated from start to finish, winning nine of 10 weight classes en route to a 36-3 victory. IOWA 30, OKLAHOMA STATE 7: The top-ranked University of Iowa wrestling team won eight matches, including three by bonus points, to defeat eighth-ranked Oklahoma State, 30-7, on Sunday afternoon in Gallagher-Iba Arena. MICHIGAN 28, MICHIGAN STATE 9: The No. 15-ranked University of Michigan wrestling team rolled past in-state rival Michigan State, 28-9, to earn its first Big Ten Conference dual win of the season on Sunday afternoon (Jan. 11) at Jenison Field House. MINNESOTA 23, RUTGERS 12: Now in its 106th season of wrestling, No. 1 Minnesota had never wrestled No. 23 Rutgers prior to Sunday. The Gophers had to wait until their fifth match to get their first victory over the Scarlet Knights, but the wins came quickly after that, as Minnesota took the final six matches of the dual to knock off the Knights, 23-12.
