Indiana, Wisconsin, Purdue win in Wednesday's basketball action

Happy New Year's Eve! Wisconsin kicked off the day with an impressive win over Penn State. Purdue followed with a come-from-behind victory over Minnesota in West Lafayette. Indiana held off Nebraska late.

Frank Kaminsky had 18 points and 14 rebounds, Nigel Hayes scored 21 points and No. 4 Wisconsin shot a blistering 63 percent from the field to beat Penn State 89-72 on Wednesday.

PURDUE 72, MINNESOTA 68: BOX | PBP | RECAP
Kendall Stephens scored 19 points, and Purdue rallied from an 11-point, second-half deficit to defeat Minnesota 72-68 in the Big Ten opener for both teams on Wednesday.

INDIANA 70, NEBRASKA 65: BOX | PBP | RECAP

Nick Zeisloft hit a pair of free throws with 33 seconds left and Collin Hartman added one 21 seconds later to seal the win for Indiana, which held off Nebraska 70-65 in the Big Ten conference opener for both teams Wednesday.
