Jim Delany calls Ohio State 'one of the four best teams in the country'

Jim Delany is a smart man. He knows what he's doing at all times.

So, when he took the microphone on Ohio State's victorious podium following its emphatic 59-0 victory over Wisconsin on Saturday night at Lucas Oil Stadium, it was no surprise to hear him promote Ohio State as a playoff contender.

Here's the message Delany sent to the crowd, the TV audience and, most importantly, the selection committee watching in Texas: Let's hear it for "one of the four best teams in the country."

Also, to no surprise, the fans loved Delany's claim.

But will Ohio State make it?

Here's what we know: Ohio State entered the day No. 5, and all of the four teams ahead of it won. But none were as convincing as the Buckeyes, who destroyed a Wisconsin team that had won seven consecutive games.
