The 2014 ACC/Big Ten Challenge got underway Monday night, and the Big Ten jumped out to a 2-0 lead.

Rutgers went into Clemson and carded an impressive 69-64 upset, while Nebraska held on to beat Florida State, 70-65, in Tallahassee.

Eight victories are needed to win the annual event, which is in its first season with 14 games, so the Big Ten needs to take six of the final 12 games to claim it.

The Big Ten hasn't lost the event since 2008. The conferences have tied, 6-6, each of the last two seasons.
