Three Big Ten women?s soccer teams will compete in the 2014 NCAA Division I Women?s Soccer Championship, it was announced on Monday. Penn State, Rutgers and Wisconsin all earned berths to the national tournament, which begins on Friday.

Penn State makes its 20th appearance in the tournament as a No. 2 seed after claiming the 2014 Big Ten Championship. The Nittany Lions finished the season with a 17-3-0 overall record, and will entertain Buffalo in University Park, Pa., in the opening round.

Rutgers, which finished the season with a record of 12-5-1, makes its ninth appearance in the NCAA Championship. The Scarlet Knights will host La Salle in the first round.

After winning its third Big Ten Tournament Championship, Wisconsin earned its 18th berth into the NCAA Tournament as a No. 4 seed. The Badgers are set to host DePaul in the opening round.

The first round matches will be played Nov. 14-16, with the second-round matches set for Nov. 21 and third-round on Nov. 23 on campus sites. Quarterfinals will be played on Nov. 28 or 29 on campus sites. The 2014 NCAA College Cup will be held at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Fla., with semifinal games on Dec. 5 and the championship match on Dec. 7.
