Indiana sophomore forward Devin Davis continues to improve after being struck by a teammate?s car and suffering a head injury. He is expected to be released from IU Health Bloomington Hospital and continue his rehabilitation closer to home in Indianapolis.

According to an email sent out by Indiana Athletics on Friday afternoon, head coach Tom Crean spent most of the morning at the hospital with Davis and his family.

"He is very alert and a couple of weeks ahead of where they thought he would be," said Devin Davis, Sr.

Dr. Larry Rink, Indiana's team Physician, had the following to say about Davis' health.

"I am happy to report that Devin is making rapid progress towards his recovery. He is advancing rapidly in his rehabilitation. The Hoosier Nation would be proud of Devin.?
