The Minnesota men's basketball team will have a new alternate uniform in 2014-15.

Head coach Richard Pitino tweeted a picture of the all-black alternate Thursday night, with the text: "Blackout coming to the barn this year. Have to figure out the right game! Thoughts gopher fans?"

Based on Pitino's tweet, it seems like the Gophers won't be wearing the new design very often, possibly just for one game. If that's the case, Coach, there's no better date than March 5, when Minnesota hosts rival Wisconsin, the reigning national semifinalist.

Minnesota plays its first exhibition game Thursday and officially opens the season Nov. 14 vs. Louisville, coached by Pitino's dad Rick, in the Armed Forces Classic in Puerto Rico.
