The wait is over, Big Ten football fans!

The highly anticipated inaugural College Football Playoff Poll was released Tuesday night. And, for now, the Big Ten is shut out of the top four spots, which went to Mississippi State (No. 1), Florida State (2), Auburn (3) and Ole Miss (4).

The Big Ten's three highest-ranked teams for most of the season land on the poll, as Michigan State (8) paces the conference and Nebraska (15) and Ohio State (16) round out the trio.

The final rankings come out Dec. 7 on College Football Playoff Selection Day. This year's semifinal sites are the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl.
