Big Ten media day is Thursday, and that means it's time for the BTN.com team to release its annual preseason All-Big Ten teams and honors.

This year, Stephen Bardo, Tom Dienhart, Sean Merriman and Brent Yarina all offered their first, second and third all-conference teams and picked a Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year.

Here's how this worked:

Players were awarded three points for first-team distinction, two for second-team, and one for third-team. The numbers were added up, and the top 5 vote-getters, regardless of position, made first team, and so on.
