CHICAGO – BTN2Go, the digital extension of the Big Ten Network, has been redesigned to deliver live games and on-demand programming to BTN subscribers on an improved platform. The revamped interface makes it easier for Big Ten fans to locate and watch their team?s events, while providing a superior mobile viewing experience.

The new platform not only allows fans to watch the network?s live simulcast of televised events after verifying their TV subscription with their satellite, cable or telco provider, but allows easy access to non-televised events streamed as part of a monthly or annual subscription to BTN Plus. BTN2Go is presented by Auto-Owners Insurance.

?We are excited to now offer fans a new, more streamlined interface,? said Michael Calderon, BTN Vice President, Programming and Digital Media. ?Creating this new platform allows us to keep all our fans in one location and offer everything under the BTN2Go umbrella.?

BTN created the new platform with NeuLion, the leading enabler and provider of live and on-demand content to Internet-connected devices.

In addition to streamlined access, BTN Plus content is now accessible on smartphones and tablets. The BTN2Go web-based video player also features an expanded viewing area and quad-screen and slow-motion viewing options for all events.

Fans living or traveling abroad with a BTN2Go International subscription will also reap the benefits of the new platform by now having access to both BTN2Go and BTN Plus events with a single subscription.

The redesign has already shown to be popular among fans. During week five of the 2014 football season (Sept. 22 - Sept 28), BTN2Go recorded the most ever weekly video views, including the highest single-day views on Saturday, Sept. 27.
