Which college hockey team gets your vote for the greatest of all time? NCAA Ice Hockey has put together a Frozen Four Finest contest, which is a bracket style contest where fans can vote via social media for the greatest college hockey programs to grace the Frozen Four ice. The competition will be held Monday, Sept. 15, through Friday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET.

There are three Big Ten teams included in the contest: Michigan (1956), Wisconsin (1977) and Minnesota (1979). The whole bracket is at NCAA.com. Each weekday through Oct. 3, NCAA.com will roll out a matchup. The 1979 Gophers squad was the subject of a "Big Ten Elite" episode, and we added a portion of that show in this post.

Help your Big Ten team get crowned the Frozen Four Finest by voting on Twitter (@NCAAIceHockey) and Facebook (NCAA Men's Hockey) using the following hashtags.

  • 1956 Michigan Wolverines: #Michigan56
  • 1977 Wisconsin Badgers: #Wisconsin77
  • 1979 Minnesota Golden Gophers: #Minnesota79

Each tweet and Facebook post (using the appropriate hashtag) will count as a vote for your program. The voting is real time. Also, be sure to follow @NCAAIceHockey for frequent standings updates.
