Illinois product and 2003 Big Ten Player of the Year Brian Cook hasn't played in the NBA since the 2011-12 season. That's because he spent the last two years tending to his wife, Victoria, who had cancer. Well, Cook, 33, wants back in, so much so that he's playing for Detroit in the NBA Summer League.

?I?m ready to get some competition back in me," Cook told basketballinsiders.com, "so it?s been good for me to get out here and be with these younger guys, these hungry guys, because I?m hungry too. I?m trying to squeeze out a few more years.?
