James Franklin's Vanderbilt days are over, but the Penn State coach was back in black Saturday on the opening day of the College World Series. Franklin, who left Nashville for Penn State in January, was in Omaha to cheer on his former school's baseball team and friend, Vandy coach Tim Corbin.

Vanderbilt topped Louisville, 5-3, and plays UC Irvine at 8 p.m. ET tonight.
