Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz confirmed Wednesday that defensive back Nico Law will transfer. Law, a native of Clinton, Maryland, has played three seasons for the Hawkeyes. He saw limited action in all 13 games in 2013, recording four solo tackles and one assist.

“Nico has decided to transfer from the University of Iowa and complete his athletic and academic careers elsewhere,” Ferentz said in a school release. “We wish him the best with his decision.”

Law was cited for disorderly conduct last weekend.

He’s leaving Iowa with his tail between his legs like a coward. He was arrested last week and instead of facing the music and trying to make things right, he’s running like a scared little rabbit.
