Big Ten Player of the Year Sam Travis is the Big Ten's lone semifinalist for the 2014 Golden Spikes Award, handed out to the nation's top baseball player. Travis hit .342 with 10 home runs and 52 RBI to help lead Indiana (42-13, 21-3) to its second consecutive sweep of the Big Ten titles (regular season & tournament). The first baseman recorded a sparkling .998 fielding percentage, to boot.

Indiana, the overall No. 4 seed, opens the Bloomington Regional vs. Youngstown State at 7 p.m. ET Friday. The Hoosiers are looking to make it back-to-back trips to the College World Series, something no Big Ten team has done since 1983-84 (Michigan).
