Michigan and Nebraska were eliminated from the NCAA tourney in Super Regional action Friday night. The Wolverines, who won Game 1 on Thursday, lost two games at Florida State, including a 4-2 extra-inning loss in the winner-take-all game, while the Huskers dropped another one-run game at Alabama. Florida State wins two to eliminate Michigan
Courtney Senas hit a two-run walk-off home run to give No. 3 Florida State a 4-2 win over the No. 13-ranked University of Michigan softball team in the decisive game three of the Tallahassee Super Regional on Friday at JoAnne Graf Field. The loss ends the season for the Maize and Blue. Earlier in the day, the Seminoles won game two of the Super Regional 6-0 to force a third game in the best-of-three series. Alabama ousts Nebraska in another one-run game
The 19th-ranked Nebraska softball team saw its season come to an end Friday night, as two more unearned runs cost the Huskers in a 2-1 defeat to No. 2 Alabama, which punched its ticket to the Women's College World Series by sweeping the Huskers in the best-of-three NCAA Super Regional.
