2014 B1G baseball tournament schedule

The Big Ten released the 2014 Big Ten Baseball Tournament bracket on Saturday evening, with Indiana securing the top seed after winning its second straight conference title. The Hoosiers claimed the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten Tournament after going 21-3 in conference play.

This year’s tournament will feature an eight-team field for the first time and will be held May 21-25 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Neb., home of the College World Series.

The tournament’s double-elimination format will culminate with the title game at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The tournament champion will earn the conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Championship. All eight teams will begin play in one of two brackets, with Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota appearing in one bracket and Illinois, Michigan State, Nebraska and Ohio State appearing in the other.

BTN will have live coverage during the Big Ten Tournament. The network will carry Games 3 and 4 on Wednesday, Games 6, 7 and 8 on Thursday, and each game on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

your decision not to broadcast the first two games of the Big Ten baseball tournament is extremely short sighted. People buy your product mainly to watch their team play live in a game they can’t get anywhere else, not to watch an old football game from 20 years ago. Since your broadcasting every other game in the tournament, why don’t you just wake the announcers up a little earlier and do this right. Unless you don’t care about the fans who pay for your product.

why would you not carry every game? Not very fair to those of us who cant go and don’t have the money for BTDN.

But since Indiana is in Bracket 2 better make sure you them right along with your favorites Michigan

I’m trying to follow the Illinois vs. MSU game via the “gametracker” but when I click on the link it takes me to a random page on the huskers.com website. What is that all about?

Too many school need the revenue from seven home games. That means only home nonconference games for most Big Ten teams. Some real problems for long time match ups like Purdue-Notre Dame, Iowa-Iowa State, and tougher home-away match ups.

Jeff did you get an answer? Since Nebraska is the host school the Big Ten is using there statistics people to share all the games. And so the Big Ten can save a buck they just created a link to Huskers.com instead of creating their own page.
