Sparty takes handoff, and runs for touchdown
It isn’t a Michigan State spring game without a Sparty play. In what has become a tradition under Mark Dantonio, the Michigan State mascot lined up in the backfield and took a handoff in Saturday afternoon’s spring finale. While Sparty scored on the scamper, let’s just say, Pat Narduzzi’s defense didn’t look like a Pat Narduzzi defense on the play. The unit probably felt bad for him after it put a licking on him the last two years. See Sparty’s last three runs in this post.
Mark Dantonio had this to say about Sparty in his postgame presser:
Sparty stiff-arm (2013):
Sparty gets stuffed, fumbles (2012):
And why not include this funny lowlight, too?
