2014-15 Big Ten men's hoops schedules announced

The Big Ten officially released a breakdown of the 2014-15 men’s basketball matchups. This will be the first Big Ten hoops season for new members, Maryland and Rutgers. The 14 conference teams will play 18-game league games, playing five teams both home and away and eight teams once. Each team will play four of its single-play opponents at home and four on the road.

Here is a look at all 14 team’s single-play opponents, compliments of BigTen.org.

The conference once again did not take the opportunity to protect rivalries. The other power conferences do so or schedule to please the networks. I feel the format should be play your rival home & home every year, with the remaining 12 opponents rotating in 3 groups of four as to whom you play once vs. twice.
