According to a recent NCAA study, Michigan led the nation in average football attendance (111,592) for the 16th consecutive season. Ohio State averaged 104,933 and joined Michigan and Alabama as the only three teams to surpass 100,00 fans per 2013 home date.

The Big Ten set a record for total attendance, averaging 70,431, second only to the SEC (75,674), which claimed its 16th straight attendance crown.

There's good news on the attendance front across the nation, actually. With the help of 13 new football programs this past fall, attendance topped 50 million for the first time.
